Island Chain is a chandlery business located in the smallest city in Britain, st davids.

We are specialist suppliers of quality marine products including buoys, anchors, shackles, swivels, fishing tackle and much more!

Meet The Team

Bill Preece (Director) – Bill is a co-owner of Island chain and yacht supplies and has 50 years of boating experience including sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, the Galapagos Islands, and the Beagle Channel. Now retired from full time work he is a Chartered Engineer and formally Chairman and M.D. of Otter Controls Ltd, an international engineering company based in Buxton Derbyshire and in St Davids.  

Steve Rees (Director) – Steve is a co-owner of island chain and yacht supplies and has 30 years of boating experience as well as owning his own boat building company ‘Robust boats ltd’ that he built from the ground up. Steve brings a lot of hands on boating knowledge to our company along with great knowledge of the boats and local seas.

Rosie Rees (Online Marketing Manager) – Rosie joined our team in May 2020 to help increase our presence on social media, Rosie spent time during her childhood on board various aluminium boats with her dad (Steve) and decided she could help promote our business on social media to increase sales with the background she has along with the help from Bill and Steve’s knowledge of the boating industry.
